Choose an aluminium boat for lure fishing around how you fish: casting space, movement between positions and storage for rods, tackle and electronics. Length and maximum engine power are useful reference points, but the actual layout matters when comparing configurations.

Start with your crew and the way you use the boat

Consider how many people usually fish, how much equipment you carry and whether you also want leisure trips. The maximum passenger capacity in a specification does not tell you how many anglers can cast at the same time with room for each person. For predator fishing, examine the fishing positions and the route between them alongside the space occupied by seats, bags and accessories.

Check usable space as well as overall length

Study the photographs and layout: where will you put rods and tackle boxes, and how will you move past another angler? Check the floor, storage and mounting points. A fishing seat, platform or console shown in a photograph may belong to an optional configuration; ask for the equipment list for the version you intend to order.

Two examples from the Alphaboat range

Alphaboat C445 Pro and Alphaboat M580 illustrate different sizes and layouts. The table compares published specifications for these models; it is not a universal recommendation for every crew or body of water.

C445 Pro lists an aluminium floor, marine vinyl flooring, storage in the central bench and a fishfinder transducer bracket. These are specific features to consider when organising your equipment; they do not imply that an electric motor or fishfinder is included.

M580 lists a fishing seat, two rod compartments and a livewell. It also includes a windscreen, carpeted interior and storage for other equipment. A capacity of seven people does not mean seven simultaneous casting positions. Evaluate the layout for your actual crew.

Plan the electric motor and electronics with the boat

If you want an electric motor, fishfinder or additional batteries, discuss mounting positions, power supply and space before ordering. A transducer bracket does not mean the fishfinder is included, and an available mounting position does not establish compatibility with every accessory.

Browse marine electronics and boat equipment in the catalog. Send the model codes of any equipment you already own so that mounting and power requirements can be checked for your configuration.

Consider the outboard and transport together

Maximum engine power is a model limit, not a statement that this engine is included or suitable for every use. C445 Pro has a short-shaft configuration with a maximum of 30 hp; M580 uses a long-shaft configuration with a maximum of 115 hp. Check the exact boat version together with your chosen outboard.

The hull mass in the table is not the total transport weight. Add the engine, batteries, fuel and equipment you carry, then check suitability with your boat trailer. Browse outboard engines in the catalog when considering the main engine.

What to send when discussing a lure-fishing setup

  • The model or dimensions you are considering and your usual number of anglers.
  • The type of outings and equipment you will carry.
  • Model codes for the outboard, fishfinder and accessories you already own.
  • The equipment you want and your transport arrangements.

Compare Alphaboat aluminium boats and contact the Alphaboat team to discuss your setup. The offer should identify included equipment, options and availability. For products available to order, delivery time is confirmed before the order is accepted.
